Fulcrum was selected to support Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s facility renewal efforts. The project scope included critical building envelope enhancements as well as features to improve the experience and increase access for patients and families. Fulcrum managed all construction mitigation for this multi-phased project which was successfully completed while keeping the hospital fully operational. Scope included:

  • Addition of canopies at the Main Entrance, Parking Garage Entrance, and over a new pedestrian walkway to protect from inclement weather during arrivals and departures.
  • Walkways reconstruction for ADA accessibility.
  • Façade upgrades including demolition of existing facade, removal and replacement of exterior sheathing, addition of a permanent moisture barrier, installation of a new metal panel system to the façade, and new windows throughout.
  • Replacement of the roof over the ICU, which remained fully operational.
  • Refurbishment of a 5,200sf patio, transforming from a few picnic tables on a basic concrete surface to an outdoor sanctuary with a new paver system, new benches, tables, and green space for healing and reflection.
