Fulcrum was selected as the Construction Manager by Team Nissan for their newly acquired building, formerly a Toys R Us / Babies R Us retail building. Transforming this facility into a mixed-use sales and distribution facility for preowned automotive sales, service, and showroom purposes meant significant renovations to the existing building were required.
The project consisted of the installation of a demising wall to create two individual tenant spaces; demolition of existing front entrance vestibule; development of a new showroom, car service area, and core bathroom facilities; retrofitting of the exterior walls to provide four new automatic overhead doors; and finally, the construction of a new tenant entrance, showroom, and warehouse. Looking past the building-centric parts of the project, additional services performed encompassed redevelopment of the entire site including new drainage, curbing, site lighting, fencing, and landscaping as well as the decommissioning of on-site sewage disposal and connection to the municipal sewer system.
