The project, which took place during the 2022 Fisher Cats season, included a phased approach that allowed on-field and free-standing upgrades to be completed during the season, while all clubhouse work was carried out following the season’s conclusion.
MLB Compliance Upgrades:
- Reconfiguration of the existing home and away clubhouses to incorporate gender-specific offices, restrooms, and locker rooms.
- Installation of high-efficiency stadium lighting to enhance both player experience and energy savings.
- Amplified stadium Wi-Fi connectivity and an upgraded sound system for improved fan and staff experience.
- Enhanced safety measures, including improvements to protect fans and employees from on-field hazards.
Facility Upgrades:
- Complete renovation and upgrade of player locker rooms, lounges, and dining areas to provide modern, comfortable spaces.
- Removal of on-field bullpens to improve player safety, ensuring the field of play remains hazard-free.
- A fully upgraded weight room and training facility to meet current performance standards.
- Construction of a free-standing, pre-engineered building housing two year-round batting tunnels and a weight room, connected to the stadium via a canopy.
- Renovation of on-field dugouts, increasing seating capacity, adding more storage, and upgrading finishes.
- Installation of high-efficiency equipment and insulation, improving the overall energy performance of the facility while reducing operating costs.
